Within Queensland, if your planned development will have a load exceeding 1.0 MV.A (approximately one megawatt) and/or involves generation of more than 30kV.A (solar, wind, turbines etc) then the work is classified as 'contestable' and ELECTRO can provide you with a competitive design service and a fast turnaround.  Examples of such projects include shopping centres, high-rise buildings, large residential or educational complexes or sizable industrial sites. If you are unsure, we can help you calculate the anticipated load.

 

If your development will need less than 1MVA, then Energex or Ergon design is the only supply option available.  Even so, we may be able to help speed up aspects of your project and reduce costs by arranging connection and assisting with electrically-related civil works (conduits, pits etc) or associated streetlighting.
